Action Requested
Authorization for Chairman to execute Amendment #2 to the FY 13/14 Community Care for the Elderly (CCE) Agreement CCE-13/14-MAN between Manatee County and West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging Inc., adding the service of Emergency Home Delivered Meals.

Background Discussion
  • Amendment #2 allows for the addition of Emergency Home Delivered Meal service in the FY 13/14 Community Care for the Elderly agreement.
  • Amendment #2 will allow for clients under the Community Care for the Elderly Program to receive shelf stable Emergency Home Delivered Meals in preparation for hurricane season.
  • Amendment #2 does not change the total contract amount.
  • County has served as Lead Agency for the Community Care for the Elderly grant program for over thirty years.
  • Grant funds are provided by the state through the West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging, Inc., to provide Case Management and in-home services such as Personal Care, Homemaker, and Home Delivered Meals.
