Authorize execution of the Interlocal Agreement for Technology Security By and Between Manatee County and the State Attorney for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit.
Florida Statute 29.008 Technology Support
The State Attorney's Office (SAO) is an authorized user of the national criminal intelligence computer system and database. Pursuant to applicable regulations, all agencies with such access must comply with detailed security rules.
Florida Statute 29.008 requires that the county provide technology support to the State Attorney's Office within that county.
The SAO has advised that they are required to have a written agreement with the County detailing the compliance with the Federal security regulations.
This agreement will meet the requirements for the security compliance.
On May 22, 2012, the Board authorized execution of this Interlocal Agreement for Technology Security with the SAO, which was executed by the former State Attorney, Earl Moreland. This new Interlocal Agreement will allow for re-execution for signature by the new State Attorney, Ed Brodsky.
