Manatee County has been awarded a grant through the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in the amount of $60,000.00 to create an artificial reef complex in 35-50 feet of water in an area of sand bottom in the Gulf of Mexico. This will provide additional opportunities for recreational fishing and diving off the coast of Manatee County.
