Action Requested
Provide recommendation to the Sarasota-Manatee Planning Organization Board to vote favorably on the proposed Florida Department of Transportation DRAFT Tentative Work Program with the exceptions as presented.
Enabling/Regulating Authority
In accordance with Section 334.211(2), Florida Statutes and Sections 163.3161-163.3211, the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act and Section 163.01, Florida Statutes.
Background Discussion
The Tentative Work Program is a 5-year listing of all transportation projects planned for each fiscal year developed by the FDOT pursuant to Section 339.135(1),F.S. It is expected Every year the FDOT presents the work program to the MPO to approve. This agenda item will provide a brief update on the projects listed in this Draft Tentative Five Year Work Program for Fiscal Year (FY) 2013/14-FY 2017/18; which is expected to be presented to the MPO Board for approval on December 17, 2012. The BOCC are voting members of the MPO.
