The intent of this Invitation For Bid (IFB) is to etablish multiple sources for the supply and delivery of bulk chemicals on an annual, as required basis in order to place orders for products at the time needed. On August 10, 2012 thru November 13, 2012 appropriate bid procedures were followed. The County issued Invitation For Bid #12-2846BS, Water and Wastewater Treatment Chemicals via Onvia Demand Star and MyManatee.org. Twenty four (24) bids and five (5) no bids were received. There are no known chemical manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors with offices in Manatee County that can supply the specific chemicals used in the treatment of the County's potable water and wastewater. Award is made on per item basis to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder(s) meeting specificatons for each item as listed on the Bid Form. The term of the contracts are for a one (1) year period with two (2) twelve (12) month renewal provisions at the same prices, terms and conditions of the orginial agreement for a total contract duration of thirty six (36) months.
