Florida Statutes Chapter 125. Comprehensive Plan Goal 11.2 addresses intergovernmental coordination for public school planning.
Manatee County is requested to dedicate a 88,398 square foot tract of land with a constructed driveway to the School Board of Manatee County for public access to Kinnan Elementary School located at Tallavast and Prospect Road.
The existing driveway was built several years ago across Manatee County property without a legal agreement. The driveway serves as a pickup lane for the school children as there was not another safe alternative. The driveway is still in operation and by granting this tract of land the School Board will be able to continue to provide safe public access to the school.
