Motion to approve Ordinance No. 14-25 and adopt an amendment to Section 2-19-104(7) adding the term "Household Appliances" to the definition of "Regulated Secondhand Goods."
Section 125.01 and Chapter 538, Part 1, Florida Statutes.
On February 25, 2014, the Board of County Commissioners approved proposed Ordinance No. 14-12 which created a new Article VIII to Chapter 2-19 pertaining to the Regulation of Secondhand Dealers. At the public hearing held on the ordinance, the Board removed the term "Household Appliances" from the definition of "Regulated Secondhand Goods." Later, at the regular meeting held March 11, 2014, the Board directed the County Attorney's Office to draft an amended ordinance containing a revision to Section 2-19-104 adding "Household Appliances" back into the definition of "Regulated Secondhand Goods." This proposed ordinance 14-25 complies with the Board's direction on that matter. The Notice of Public Hearing was published in the Bradenton Herald on March 27, 2014.
