Meet Adoption-Ready Dogs at Palmetto Library This Saturday

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (March 30, 2017) – In celebration of National Pet Month, Manatee County Palmetto Library and Manatee County Animal Services have joined forces to offer an adoption event. On Saturday, April 1, a few adoption-ready dogs from Manatee County Animal Services will travel over to Palmetto Library, allowing patrons to visit with them without having to go into the shelter.

The library will provide information about dogs and pets in general, including publications and DVDs, to help those individuals and families who are thinking about adding a pet make a more informed decision.

“We’re excited to welcome the dogs to the library environment. We hope seeing dogs in a different environment might encourage more people to consider adopting homeless dogs while looking into our resources,” said Kaitlin Crockett, Youth Librarian.

Palmetto Library is located at 923 6th Street West, Palmetto 34221. For more information contact 941-722-3333.
