805 Lit + Art Journal Listed as a Poets & Writers Must Read

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (November 1, 2016) – Manatee County Public Libraries’ 805 Lit + Art Journal is listed as one of Poets & Writers Magazine’s "Nine New Lit Mags You Need to Read" in their November/December 2016 issue. Poets & Writers, a widely distributed bimonthly magazine, features literary-based news articles, critical reviews and interviews with prominent authors.

805’s Editor-in-Chief, Stephanie Katz, said their editorial team has worked hard to build momentum for their publication, which was founded two years ago and is the first literary journal to be published by a public library.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by such a prominent magazine and have our talented artists and authors get this well-deserved attention from readers. 805 has been picking up new subscribers each quarter, but being listed as a Poets & Writers’ Must Read should help generate even more,” said Katz. “We have already seen our Web traffic increase as a result.”

This recognition gives the editorial team a little more to celebrate at their Poetry & Prose Reading Anthology Reception taking place on Saturday, November 5, 2016, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Downtown Library, 1301 Barcarrota Blvd. West, Bradenton 34205. A print anthology of selected works will be available for purchase at the reception.
