Manatee County Area Transit

Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) serves Bradenton, Ellenton, Palmetto and the Gulf Beach communities. Buses run 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday – Saturday. No service is offered Sunday. The fare is $1.25 each way; transfers 25¢ each — exact fare, U.S. coins and currency or M-Card transit pass.

MCAT fixed routes connect with the free (donations accepted) Manatee Trolley on Anna Maria Island. Daily service runs from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. every 20 minutes from the Anna Maria City Pier to Coquina Beach.

MCAT fixed routes also connect with the Longboat Key Trolley. Daily service runs from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. every 30 minutes from Coquina Beach through St. Armands Circle to downtown Sarasota. The fare is 75¢ each way.

Note: Select MCAT fixed route buses/trolleys are available for service outbound to their fixed route point-of-origin at the start of each service day, and, inbound, at the end of each service day from the termination point of each fixed route to various locations while enroute to the MCAT bus garage. The normal fare structure applies.

MCAT also offers origin to destination Handy Bus (paratransit) service by appointment for people who qualify due to age or disability.
