Interactive GIS Map - Land Development
The interactive Land Development map on the website has been updated to reflect the floodplain as shown on the new Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs). On the Live Maps tile you will need to activate the FEMA Flood layer. You can search by owner, address or parcel (tax) identification number.
Has There Been a Letter of Map Change for Your Property?
Many properties have been effectively removed from the high risk zone through Letters of Map Revision (LOMR), Letters of Map Amendment (LOMA), or Letters of Map Revision based on Fill (LOMR-F). Due to the cost of republishing a new Flood Insurance Rate Map, the Federal Emergency Management Agency will issue the change in a letter.
Go to www.msc.fema.gov and type in your address. and on the next screen you will see the map number and if there are any changes. Manatee County Floodplain Division also maintains copies and will be happy to e-mail or mail a copy to you.
