Manatee accepting applications for vacancy on Children’s Services Advisory Board

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (Nov. 18, 2015) – Manatee County is accepting applications for an open position on Children’s Services Advisory Board (CSAB), which advises and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding priorities and expenditures of the County’s dedicated millage for children’s services.

 The CSAB is comprised of 13 members, who are appointed by the Commission to serve three-year terms.  The following position is open:


  • One child advocate not affiliated with any agency receiving County funds; term ending Sept. 30, 2018.


Employees, owners or voting board members of agencies that receive funding from Manatee County, or individuals that contract with agencies that receive County funding are not eligible to serve as a child advocate on this advisory board. 


The CSAB meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. Weekly meetings are held during the annual program funding review process from March through May. 


To qualify for consideration, applicants must be residents of Manatee County.
