Manatee County to hold special meeting Wednesday to accept oil spill settlement dollars

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (July 20, 2015) – Manatee County Commissioners will hold a special meeting Wednesday, July 22 in order to accept local government revenues lost as a result of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon explosion. The Board will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the first floor chambers of Manatee County Administrative Building, 1112 Manatee Avenue West.

 The terms of the settlement agreement will be made public for the first time at the meeting.


The settlement agreement is the only item that can be discussed during Wednesday’s special meeting. There will be no other agenda items and no citizen comments for future agenda items. Commissioner comments and citizen comments will only be allowed if they’re related to the settlement agreement.
