MANATEE COUNTY, FL (May 12, 2015) – Free pool admission, games, bounce houses, water slides and more are planned for the second Splash into Summer at John H. Marble Pool on Sat., June 6. Manatee County Parks and Natural Resources will host the public event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children and families can take part in pool-based events like noodle races, cannonball splash contests and fun on the pool deck with hula hooping and limbo. Fun prizes will be awarded to the winners. The pool is located at 3675 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton.

Marble pool is a great facility that we want the community to continue to enjoy,” said Matthew Porter, Recreation Supervisor for the Aquatics Division. “Lap swimming, recreation swimming, and swim lessons will be available all summer long. Splash into Summer kicks off another fun and safe summer.”

Though the event is free and ends at 3 p.m., the facility will be open until 4 p.m. Summer hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. There is a $2 admission during the summer. The pool is closed on Monday.
