Services Provided:
Registration, license plates and/or tags for vehicles, boats, and mobile homes; payment of property taxes; purchase of fishing and hunting licenses and obtaining disability parking permits.
Driver's license services.
State law requires you to register a motor vehicle with the Tax Collector's Office within 10 days of becoming a legal resident/becoming employed/placing your children in public school. You will need a current driver's license, proof of Florida automobile insurance, a prior registration certificate and the car's title. If there is a lien on the vehicle, a transfer of title is necessary. The vehicle's identification number must be verified at the time of application for a Florida license plate.
You must apply for a Florida driver's license within 30 days of becoming employed/entering children in school/registering to vote/filing for homestead exemption/becoming a resident of Florida. You will need proof that your vehicle is registered in Florida, your out-of-state license, your social security card.

There are 14 million licensed Florida drivers. Every year the Florida DMV issues over 800,000 new driver's licenses. They issue licenses for over 400,000 new out-of-state residents annually.
As of January, 2010 the requirement to obtain or renew your driver's license changed. Know your requirements and be prepared before going into an office to save yourself time.
